Sam began her career in media at fifteen, participating in a youth radio program. She attended college at Hofstra University, majoring in Broadcast Journalism, and quickly worked her way to Program Director of Music where she was nominated for CMJ Rookie of the Year. Sam also help bring in the NAB Marconi for non-commercial station of the year, nomination for College Radio Station of the year at the 2015 mtvU Woodies, and received multiple awards for leadership during her tenure.
After several years working in media and operations, Sam found a combination of behavioral science, social knowledge, and creative strategy were necessary in all areas of business communications. Providing strategy, branding, and graphic design, Sam works with clients on a project or long-term basis. As a staunch advocate for intersectional justice, Sam utilizes this framework in all strategic processes. They now create spaces for compassionate and transformative interpersonal communication.
Sam is self-motivated individual with a wide range of professional experience from advocacy work to mentorship to team management. She works well as a collaborator and working independently to spearhead projects. Problem solving is what she’s known for in both professional and personal relationships and her vast experience allows her to pull from operational, design, editorial, or journalistic tool belts.
