About Super Normal
Super Normal was a self funded podcast centered on breaking down boundaries and barriers to human connection. Sam produced hosted over 50 episodes featuring prominent guests such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Isaac Vergun of Our Children’s Trust, and Valeria The Mexican Witch, who is now the host of Spotify’s Vivo Latino series Divinations. Super Normal covers stories and people across art, academia, politics and more with a concentration on normalizing the experiences of marginalized identities for young folks. Since stopping Super Normal, Sam has utilized her time to gain experience as an activist and advocate, working to increase access to marginalized communities, cultivating well-rounded discourse and positive community based action.
It’s extremely important to note that while preparing for her interviews on Super Normal, Sam does not prepare questions for her guests. Each interview has an organic, conversational style that is unique to the guests. The episode begins with the guest’s introduction, where they are told to include as much or as little information as they feel comfortable with and the conversation stems from there–this is crucial to staying with the authentic storytelling Sam hopes to share with her audience.
Please note that Sam is not responsible for, does not agree with, condone, or promote any opinions of her guests outside of the podcast.
