Who is Sam?

Sam Sedlack (she/they) is a staunch advocate for intersectional justice and utilizes this framework in all strategic processes. They create spaces for compassionate and transformative interpersonal communication through a trauma-informed approach for both their clients and their prospective audience.

After a decade and a half working in communications, Sam found a combination of behavioral science, social good, and creative strategy was necessary for all areas of business communications. Providing expertise in strategy, branding, and design, Sam works to improve the standard for communication across multiple industries. Most importantly, Sam is a storyteller who helps marginalized business owners authentically represent themselves in a system that inherently wants to keep their voices from being heard.

Sam is also a multi-media artist inspired by her New York roots, time living in the Southern United States, and her Mediterranean heritage. As a hobby artist, Sam experiments with fiber art, dioramas, and interior design, bringing their working knowledge of textures and 3D elements to their work.

  • Sam lives with a chronic illness and is neurodivergent. Her lived experiences propelled her to study intersectional justice and it was then that she realized how triggering the process of branding could be for some folks.

    Many of our clients sit at the intersection of several social locations where they have faced microaggressions and serious oppression that often leads to imposter syndrome, and in some cases, severe trauma responses. Challenges and triggers related to our social locations become even more prevalent when we start to present ourselves to the world.

    The branding process, becoming more public, putting our businesses on social media, etc. is necessary for many companies. However, the extent to which we have to promote ourselves and the process by which we do so can be unique. That’s why Sam takes a trauma-informed approach to create strategies for our clients that understand their lived experiences while also not sacrificing the quality of their brand presence.

  • Sam’s specialty is to have command over the creative vision for your project.

    It’s not uncommon for folks in media to be trained in multiple disciplines. Sam often finds herself learning new programs, web platforms, and even languages! That’s because when a roadblock appears, Sam uses that as an opportunity for growth.

  • Although Sam is well experienced in social media strategy and content creation in all of it’s forms, it’s not something we offer as a stand-alone package. Content creation and strategy for social is an add-on for retainer clients only. Special exception is made for short-term projects that have social media strategy or content creation as an element and are approved on a case by case basis.
