How to Handle The Great Resignation as a Newly Free Worker

2020 was a rough year for all of us and 2021 has provided a similarly difficult landscape. For many of us, our lives have changed completely. It took months and tons of bad days for me to have any motivation. ⁣There’s so much conversation going on about “The Great Resignation” and from what I’ve seen, people are ready to take their life outside of traditional norms and into their own hands.
⁣⠀
We all have a different idea of success and our path to reach it is ever-changing. You might not know where you are going or how to get there, but as long as you know the goal, what you don’t want, or what you define as your version of success, there is a way for you to get there. There is no one size fits all solution to life and anyone that tells you there is, it’s a SCAM! Run! You are unique and your story is as important as your goals.

I won’t lie to you and say that running our own business or freelancing is easy. There are ups and downs, financial insecurities, and a lot of unpredictable moments, but what you can count on is having control over your own life and too me, that’s more valuable than any guarantee a full-time job has ever provided me. That’s why I am launched my creative strategy work to openly accept new clients. Now more than ever people need someone who is willing to listen to them, to guide them, to teach them, and to be the one to say that is not a good idea. There is nothing wrong with validation or reassurance when you’re already on the right track as well! With a combination of behavioral science, market research, trendcasting, and good old fashion empathetic communication, I’m here to make sure your brand or business really represents who you are.

Authenticity is key and the days of trying to hack the algorithm are gone 🚀 People are waking up to see through the B.S. of brands that don’t acutally follow through with their claims of diversity, inclusion, green business practices, or fair labor to their employees. People are leaving their jobs in droves just because they realized their corporate overlords do not prioritize their mental health one bit! We’ve all seen that accomodations can easily be made for folks to work from home, something the disabled community has been asking for for years, and instead of allowing this more comfortable and productive style of work to continue, managers are forcing their teams back to the office just to keep an eye on them. No thanks!

If you’re like me and have decided that enough is enough, maybe you’ve started your own business this year, or you’re getting ready to quit that 9 to 5 and finally start freelancing in the Winnebago you bought as you take a cross-country road trip! Whatever your journey may be, wherever you are on it, I want you to know you don’t have to do it alone!

My services are customizable to your situation. I don’t slap a one size fits all approach on my clients and expect it to work for you. You can schedule a free conversation to discuss my services and see if they are the right fit for you—no strings attached! If you’re already convinced that working together will be the right fit for you, then you can fill out my consultation inquiry form which will email me right away with your responses. If you need a little more information on what I can do, check out my portfolio for a full list of my services.

It is an honor to serve this community and I can’t wait to see where this new chapter takes us.
